They Are Called Saints

Sat down with a drunk
And listened to him cry
Told me he had wasted life
Sat down with a cheat
And listened to him weep
He bargained and lost everything

Now because of grace
They are called saints
No longer sinners, their identity’s been changed
Once the enemy
Now they’re redeemed
Called sons and daughters
They are called saints

Sat down with a freak
And listened to his tale
Couldn’t find his purpose here
Sat down with a joke
With nothing left to boast
In weakness he gained everything

Behold He’s making all things new
The old is gone the new has come
