Face of Death

at the gates of hell, I´ve seen the face of death
darkness sucked me in, I´ve seen the black lord´s smile
crawling fear and distrust
nausea and disgust

the reaper took my hand, with fingers cold as ice
showed me his deathlist first and laughed without a sound
faceless man by my side
fleshless beast, I sat tight

I felt it, I saw it…..his scythe on my neck
I felt it, I saw it…..the blade of rusty steel

showed me an hour-glass, my time had passed away
little grains of sand, ran to seal my fate
untamed rage burned inside
I opposed and denied

„you will never get me, try to take me
and I´ll crush your bones!”

I woke up, at midnight…..my smile turned to stone
I saw it, in darkness…..the ancient hourglass

„you will never get me, leave my dreams
and nightmares once for all!”
