Winter World

just like a world of winter
the crushing weight of driven snow
I’ve gone beyone all finding
to a place where nothing grows
veil of white, winter world
bound by night, hiding always
veil of white hides this world
starless sky, i am drifting
old fire slowly fading
my vision swallowed by the night
her cloak is wrapped around me
her icy fingers close my eyes

silence all around me
still flushed with otherworldly grace
now they can never touch me
