Constant Struggle

Evil thoughts entrap my mind,
leaving me helpless and spiritually blind.
All my life I’ve struggled between an apparent darkness and a God unseen.

Darkness blinds me from eternity,
Breaking free from the malevolent world that torments me.

Evil world, let me be.
Lord, take me to eternity.
This world has no value to me.
I don’t want to be bound to a life of captivity.
