Remember the time we drank stolen beers in your parent’s basement
and recorded it all with your tape recorder?
Cassettes filled with chemical tape,
something similar was inside of us.
But that’s now buried in the closet
with some dreams and a college degree.
That’s now buried in the closet,
just like you and me.
Shaky hands, circled eyes.
Wound and unwound.
