Afraid

All these nameless fears
have left me paralyzed
frozen in a past
i can’t escape
trapped between what was
and what can never be
watching my world
slowly drift away
I will not be afraid anymore
I was so afraid of losing
everything that i never had
that now that i’ve got
nothing left to lose
there’s nowhere left to run
noone left to blame
there is only me
alone to face
the demons in my head
