Sunset Vista

Sunset Vista

Fabio Colpani

It feels like forever tonight
And I’m already out of sight
‘Cause it’s really hard for me
And you’ll never get to see

How I feel when I’m all alone
When I don’t talk to you on the phone
When I complicate myself
Looking at the dust on my bookshelf

‘Cause even though I’ve grown up, and I’ve learned a lot of things
I miss just being careless about what I’ve done and where I’ve been
It’s hard to admit that we’re not kids anymore
Or is it hard just for me cause I don’t know what to look for

But I’ve learned
From my pain
I’ve gained a lot but lost the game
And if you say you’re sorry then it’s too late

I’d watch that sunset again
Want to make everything stay the same
Wanted it to last forever even if wasn’t for the better
Wish I had never grown up and
My parents had never broken up
Wish I had a better birthday and that I could be remembered some day

I might be thinking too much
Or maybe not enough
‘Cause I don’t know how to act when
I think of things I regret

And I can never find the words to
Say what I wanna say
And maybe I don’t want to
Share my life away

But I am
Who I am
I’ve changed a lot but I’m still the same
And if you think I’d go by your rules think again

I’d watch that sunset again
Want to make everything stay the same
Wanted it to last forever even if wasn’t for the better
Wish I had never grown up and
My parents had never broken up
Wish I had a better birthday and that I could be remembered some day

I don’t wanna watch the sunset if it’s just through my old window
I don’t wanna watch the sunset
I don’t wanna watch the sunset if it’s just through my old window
I don’t wanna watch the sunset

The people I’ve known forever aren’t what I thought
And the ones I believed we’d be together, they’re all gone

I trusted in vain, I believed in me
I fought all those hundred times that I couldn’t see
Went out in the rain, It just couldn’t be
That thundering storm just approaching me

My mind is burning like a bonfire
Ashes in my dry bones but my eyes were drier
Choking in the smoke, I went through the fire
I told you the truth, now I ask ”who was the liar? ”
I think this is way too much

I’d watch that sunset again
Want to make everything stay the same
Wanted it to last forever even if wasn’t for the better
Wish I had never grown up and
My parents had never broken up
Wish I had a better birthday and that I could be remembered some day

I don’t wanna watch the sunset if it’s just through my old window
I don’t wanna watch the sunset (I don’t, no I don’t, I don’t ooh)
I don’t wanna watch the sunset if it’s just through my old window
I don’t wanna watch the sunset (I don’t, no I don’t, I don’t ooh)
I don’t wanna watch the sunset if it’s just through my old window
I don’t wanna watch the sunset (I don’t, no I don’t, I don’t ooh)
I don’t wanna watch the sunset if it’s just through my old window
I don’t wanna watch the sunset (I don’t, no I don’t, I don’t ooh)
