Haunted House

Haunted House

Jerry Lee Lewis

I just moved in my new house today
Moving was hard but I got squared away
Bells started ringing and chains rattled loud
I knew I’d done moved in a haunted house

Still I made up my mind to stay
Nothing was a gonna drive me away
When I seen something that gave me the creeps
Had a one big eye and two big feet

I stood right still and I did the freeze
He did that ol’ stroll right up to me
Made a noise with his feet
Said boy you’d better not be here when morning comes

Yes I’m gonna be here when morning comes
I’ll be right here I ain’t gonna run
I bought this old house and I’m boss
Ain’t no haunt gonna run me off

Well in my kitchen the stove was a blazing hot
Coffee was a boiling in the old pot
Oh the grease had melted in my pan
Had a hunk of meat right in his hand

From out of space there stood a man
On the hot stove were the pots and pans
Oh let me tell right now son
You better not hang around when morning comes

Jerry Lee Lewis will be here when the morning comes
I’ll be right here I ain’t gonna run
I bought this old house and now I’m boss
Ain’t no haunt gonna run me off
