I’m standing here, watching the dark mountains in the north
It’s summer time, but a cold wind is freezing my heart
My eyes narrow and all the ferny forest is gone and all birds have become silent
I’m freezing harder now, and I see a desert

In every summer there’s a winter in every blue sky there is a cloud
After every day there is a night and every sea has a shore
Every night I see you, but it’s just in my dreams

Now in the night the stars are shining
